From the recording 211 Degrees
The classic story (in this case infused with a punchy, punky Green Day vibe) of the young man (or woman) who leaves home, spurning his father's wisdom and advice, and finds out the hard way that life ain't easy. He may spend all his time partying, and all his money on booze and drugs and __?__. Then, he comes to the realization that his life is precious, that deep down he needs and WANTS his father's teaching and advice and guidance, and he wants to live a meaningful, productive life, So he returns home, where it's safe and secure, where he can find acceptance, and learn from his father, knowing he can then blossom into his best self.
Please write me
I’m an open book but my pages are blank / Please write me
Please use me
Got a guarded heart but I wanna do my part / Please use me
Careened and finally crashed
So I threw away my stash
Did my time in no man’s land and I’m ready to come back
Please push me
Wanna step out of my zone but I tend to be alone / Please push me
Please wind me
A broken clock’s right twice a day and that’s ok but / Please wind me
Careened and finally crashed
So I threw away my stash
Did my time in no man’s land and I’m ready to come back
Prodigal Prodigal
Gambled with my very soul
Prodigal Prodigal
Take me back and make me whole
Oh Father I am heading home again
Please please me
Wanna love your way on your path I wanna stay / Please please me
Please keep me
In your ever lovin’ arms for forever and beyond / Please keep me
